A Heck Of A Lot Of Birthdays

Three out of five of us in this household have a birthday in a 24 hour period. Cole was born in the afternoon on the 26th, Cristine in the middle of the night on the 26th and Sadie in the early morning on the 27th. To celebrate the majority of our home's residents turning another year older, we kept it casual. We are going to take Cole swimming on Saturday with some of his friends, so tonight we just had dinner to spotlight the girlies. Cris happens to mention frequently that Cole stole her thunder by being born on the same day, so I made a cake that was meant for a 19 year-old.Three layers with Ghirardelli ganache and fresh raspberry fillings with a chocolate buttercream icing. Sadie was gracious enough to frost it for me. I even gifted the cake stand to our future pastry chef. Pearlie told me she wanted to try this recipe for her birthday and it turned out pretty dang good.
One year ago today. He still has the same hair-do...it's just not black anymore. Brian and I are excited to spend the next year with our boy that isn't so little anymore.Cole got a laptop and a remote control from Grandpa Kent and Grandma Tami.
