Catch Up

I really am going to try and blog more than once a week, but things have been crazy lately and probably will be for a while. My grandma's funeral was nice-hard, but nice. It was good to have everyone together and Cole got spoiled by Aunt Mandy and everyone else. I was afraid Aunt Kate was going to steal him and put him in her carry-on. Good thing she didn't with all of her airport fun! I ended up catching a really bad cold that I am slowly getting over. When you go through a whole box of Kleenex in one day, then I guess it constitutes a really bad cold. We have visitors again this week and we'll bless Cole on Sunday. Then it's out with the rest of the evil wisdom teeth on Tuesday. My Mom is actually going to take Cole and I back to Idaho so that Daddy Brian can go to school and finish the legislative session in peace. I will try and make a slideshow one of these days so everyone can see that Cole has changed. He's definitely gained weight, but he still has his hair! YEAH!

Update

So I know it's been a week, but with everything that has been happening blogging just hasn't been done. We've had a busy one. With relatives from Florida for a family wedding, another visit from Aunt Cari (and Ivie), and Grandpa Kent stopping by again with Cristine-our weekend was FULL! We had a family dinner on Sunday and then Jim and Diane flew home on Monday. Cole has gotten back to his birth weight finally, as we found out at the doctor and has had his first bout of colic....hope it doesn't happen again! It's so sad when you can't figure out what is wrong with the little guy! I got my hair chopped off and my dear grandmother has finally gone to the other side. It's still really hard, but I am happy that she is in a better place. We're so grateful for the love and prayers that have come our way. SO-needless to say, it's been an adventure.

Fun With The Fam

On Sunday we had Cole's first family get-together at Aunt Renee's house. Grandpa Jim and Grandma Diane went back to Florida on Monday morning, so it was the last chance to be together for a while. Some of our favorite people-The Buma Clan-also came. Here's a few pics of our good time.

Battling Back

After dealing with a kidney stone, I am slowly coming back. I think that my body is going to go through every system shut down possible after having this baby! Thank goodness Cole is still doing wonderful. We'll recheck him tomorrow to see if he's back to his birth weight yet.

So to my fellow bloggers and Cole's devoted fans, I am sorry that I have not been posting pics this week. Hopefully the video and the cute one of Grandma Tami's Valentine's Day outfit that I got today will suffice (This is for you Aunt Cari!) It is so true, he has stolen Mommy's heart-his Daddy's too. We love everyone and hope all is well!

Grandpa's Are Great!

We were so lucky to have both of our grandpa's visit in one week! Grandpa Kent stopped by on Sunday and Grandpa Jim flew in on Tuesday and got to see Cole for the first time.

2 Weeks Old

I can't believe it! Cole is already 2 weeks. I left him for the first time today-it was scary. I was only gone for an hour and a half, but I felt naked-like there was something very wrong. He was in the great hands of his Dad, so that made it a little better.

We found out at the doctor yesterday that our little man needs to gain some weight. Super long fingers, HUGE feet, but a little too skinny. He's long and lean, just like his Daddy. So we'll just push the eating agenda and go in next week to re-check his weight. He's already changed-at two weeks he already likes to roll-the doctor had to corral him in! Plus, as you can see he's becoming more expressive!
